Existence of positive solutions for a boundary value problem of a nonlinear fractional differential equation
This paper presents conditions for the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for a boundary value problem of a nonlinear fractional differential equation. We show that it has at least one or two positive solutions. The main tool is Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem on cone and fixed point index theory.
متن کاملDecay estimates of solutions to the IBq equation
In this paper we focus on the Cauchy problem for the generalized IBq equation with damped term in $n$-dimensional space. We establish the global existence and decay estimates of solution with $L^q(1leq qleq 2)$ initial value, provided that the initial value is suitably small. Moreover, we also show that the solution is asymptotic to the solution $u_L$ to the corresponding linear equa...
متن کاملExistence Results for a Dirichlet Quasilinear Elliptic Problem
In this paper, existence results of positive classical solutions for a class of second-order differential equations with the nonlinearity dependent on the derivative are established. The approach is based on variational methods.
متن کاملExistence and nonexistence of solutions for a singular p-Laplacian Dirichlet problem
We study the existence of positive radially symmetric solution for the singular pLaplacian Dirichlet problem, − △p u = λ|u| p−2u − γu where λ > 0, γ > 0 and, 0 < α < 1, are parameters and Ω, the domain of the equation, is a ball in R . By using some variational methods we show that, if λ is contained in some interval, then the problem has a radially symmetric positive solution on the ball. More...
متن کاملApproximate Solutions to a Linear Dirichlet Problem with Singular Coefficients
In this paper is constructed an aproximate solution to P (x,D)G = H, G|∂Ω = F in the space of generaliaed Colombeau functions on Ω. Here P is a differential operator with coefficients which are generalized functions (for example singular distributions), Ω is a bounded open set, and H and F are generalized functions. Also, solutions to a class of elliptic equations with coefficients in G are obt...
